I was going to school for a marketing degree when i got a part time job as an engineering assistant at a local city government. A few months later they had an opening for a GIS Technician. It was a full time position. And in 98-99, they were not any schools in my state doing GIS degrees. I never finished up school, but i look at it now as gaining 10 years of on the job experience in an emrging technology. After a year at one city, i spent six years for another local city, where i built their enterprise system from the ground up, left that to be a work for a DOD contractor, spent a year there, and have been working for another DOD contractor since.
Thanks for the Support, keep the questions coming.
